ATCO Electric provides electricity transmission and distribution for the north and central regions of Alberta. ATCO Electric Emergency Number

General Questions/ATCO Electric Customer Service

ATCO Electric's Customer Service phone number is 1-800-668-2248, and is open from Monday to Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (closed weekends and holidays). Contact customer service for concerns about ATCO Electric services, relocating a power line or meter, requesting a secondary or new service line, service installation, safety information and education, power quality calls, and any other general questions you might have about your electricity delivery.

Meter Reading

ATCO Electric currently uses automated meter reading (AMR) systems in its service territory. Customers within ATCO Electric's service territory should contact ATCO Electric Customer service at 1-800-668-2248 between Monday and Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. for any questions about their meter, or if they would like to have their meter moved or repaired.

Report a Street Light Problem Within the ATCO Electric Service Territory

As a wires services provider and electricity delivery company, ATCO Electric is responsible for maintaining and repairing street lights within its service territory. Customers can submit an online form to report any street light problems. 

New Service Line

To request a new service line, or to request a secondary line, call ATCO Electric Customer Service at 1-800-668-2248 (Monday - Friday, 7:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.). You can also request new service in person at an ATCO Electric local office.

Construction/Temporary Disconnection

Contact ATCO Electric Customer Service at 1-800-668-2248 (open Monday - Friday, 7:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.) about temporary disconnection of your meter for construction purposes. You may need to pay to have your service temporarily disconnected. ATCO Electric will not disconnect service during winter months without written notice from the property owner.
