AltaGas Utilities is a public utility and natural gas distributor to almost 72 000 commercial, residential, and rural consumers across Alberta. It provides natural gas at regulated rates to residential consumers within its service area. Located in Leduc, its service areas include Athabasca, Barrhead, Bonnyville, Drumheller, Hanna, Three Hills, Grande Cache, High Level, Morinville, Pincher Creek, Dunmore and area, Stettler, St. Paul, Two Hills, Elk Point and Westlock.

AltaGas Utilities was established in 1947, and originally distributed natural gas to Athabasca, Leduc, and Saint Paul areas.

AltaGas Utilities is owned by AltaGas Ltd, a Canadian corporation focussing natural gas processing, power, and regulated utilities that is based in Calgary. AltaGas Ltd owns five utilities, located in Alberta, British Columbia, Nova Scotia, Alaska, and Michigan. In addition to its activities in natural gas extraction, transmission, and processing, AltaGas Ltd also owns and operates gas-fired, coal-fired, and renewable (run-of-river, biomass and wind power generation assets) power generation facilities throughout Canada and the United States.
