Just Energy Alberta Payment Options
At Your Bank
There are several ways to pay your Just Energy bill at your bank:
- At Your Bank Branch: If you choose to pay your bill at the local branch of your bank you will need to register Just Energy as a payee the first time you go to pay. You will need to bring your bill with you to do this, but shouldn't need to present your bill every time you go to your bank to pay.
- Online: Similarly, the first time that you pay your bill you will need to set up Just Energy as a payee in your personal online banking account. For this you will need your 10-digit Just Energy account number so that your payment goes to the right place.
- Telephone Banking: Some banks offer a telephone payment service, an automated system that allows you to pay your bills at any time. If you choose to pay over the phone using this service, you will need to set up Just Energy as a payee and will need your 10-digit account number. Each subsequent time you pay over the phone you may need to enter (partially or in full).
- ATM: You may be able to pay your bill at an ATM. However, you will need to have already registered Just Energy as a payee (online, at your branch, or through telephone banking). Make sure to have your 10-digit account number with you when you want to pay your bill.
Pre-Authorized Debit
Through Just Energy's Pre-Authorized Debit program, you continue to receive a monthly bill, but your bill amount is automatically debited from your bank account on the due date for payment. This saves you the time of paying your bill and means that you can avoid late-payment fees. However, you might risk facing insufficient funds charges if you do not have enough money in your account to pay your bill (or have bank-approved overdraft protection).
To enroll in the pre-authorized debit plan you will need to print out and complete the application form, which you can find on Just Energy's website. You will have to provide your bank branch number (5 digits), bank number (3 digits) and bank account number (7 digits).
You need to mail the completed form with a blank cheque marked 'VOID' to the following address:
Just Energy Alberta L.P.
80 Courtneypark Dr. West, Units 3 & 4
Mississauga, Ontario L5W 0B3
It can take up to four to six weeks for your enrollment in the pre-authorized debit program to be processed. In the meantime you should continue paying your bill as usual until you see a note on your bill stating that the amount will be automatically withdrawn from your account on the late payment due date.
By Mail
You should allow at least 10 days for a payment by mail to arrive and be processed by Just Energy. Your cheque or money order payment should be addressed to "Just Energy Alberta L.P", and be sent to:
Just Energy Alberta L.P
PO Box 2533 STN M
Calgary AB T2P 0R7
Don't forget to mail the stub at the bottom of your bill with your cheque or money order.

Just Energy accepts credit card payment through its website. To pay by credit card, log in to your personal online account, or contact customer service at 1-866-587-8674.
